John Williams has new music for Disney’s Star Wars theme park—and you can listen now

There’s still about a year before the new Disney World and Disneyland Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge parks arrive, but you can already preview one key part of the experience.

Entertainment Weekly first got its hands on two minutes worth of music from the legendary composer John Williams, which will be used to help transport visitors to the galaxy far, far away. You can listen to it right now, thanks to an official upload from Disney Parks.

As expected, the music is appropriately fantastic, with some clear callbacks to both the original trilogy and the current. Who could ever tire of those little flutes?

Even better, Entertainment Weeekly’s video has a ton of never-before-seen aerial shots of a very much still-in-progress Batuu, the alien planet that serves as the fictional location for Disney’s new parks. There’s clearly a ton of construction still going on, what with the dirt roads, scaffolding, and CAT machinery laying around. That said, the sheer size of those rock spires and the general otherworldliness is pretty impressive.

The 14-acre “village” itself is known as Black Spire, and it serves as a nexus between all the various factions and alien races that Disney will surely stuff into the park. Of course, Disney says that there will be tons more music than just what’s shown the two-minute preview.

Disney has also uploaded two previews of upcoming attractions, including Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, which allows guests to cooperate to escape Batuu while aboard the legendary space ship’s cockpit. You can watch some behind-the-scenes footage of those rides, plus check out two concept art photos of the new Star Wars hotel experience.

Previews of both rides are being shown at Disney’s Destination D fan event in Orlando, so if we’re lucky, there’s more footage yet to come.

The Disneyland version of Galaxy’s Edge will open during the summer of 2019, while the Disney World version will open fall 2019.
