Senior aide to the president Stephen Miller got into a heated exchange with Jake Tapper Sunday morning on CNN. Afterward, he then reportedly refused to leave the set of State of the Union.
Two sources told Business Insider that after Tapper ended the segment, Miller was too agitated to leave.
Two sources close to the situation told Business Insider that after the taping was done Miller was asked to leave several times.
He ignored those requests and ultimately security was called and he was escorted out, the sources said.
The report was corroborated by a CBS producer on Twitter.
A source at @CNN re the Stephen Miller interview with @jaketapper on @CNNSotu:
“The segment was over and Mr. Miller was politely asked to leave the set multiple times—after refusing to leave, he was escorted out by security.”

The reports come after Tapper told Miller he was wasting viewers’ time during a contentious argument over claims made in Michael Wolff’s explosive new book, Fire and Fury.

However, how you felt about the exchange really comes down to where you land on the aisle. Somehow, both sides are claiming victory. Those on the left gleefully cheered the sheer ownage of Miller by Tapper.
Stephen Miller is trending, for the most glorious reason. Bravo, @jaketapper.

Stephen Miller: Trump "tapped into something magical that is happening in the hearts of this country." @JakeTapper: "The president has an approval rating in the 30s. I don't know what magical you're talking about." pic.twitter.com/DkaTGbcept

Now that I've finished Michael Wolff's book, I can say: nothing could possibly underscore the truth of Wolff's portrayal of Trump, and of how Trump's staff humiliates themselves to please him, more than Stephen Miller's performance on @JakeTapper's show https://t.co/d4WfrSsWXx

But people on the right watched the interview and saw something completely different.
Is this supposed to divert us from the fact that @jaketapper is a biased hack who cuts off his guests when they don’t say what he likes? https://t.co/Tx1aMz2aun

Jake Tapper showed what it means to be a liberal today.
When presented with an opposing argument that he didn’t want to hear, he got scared and ended the conversation.
Great job by Stephen Miller!

Oh give Jake Tapper a break. He was performing for an audience of one: Jeff Zucker. https://t.co/wwtnoVHRao

Stephen Miller looked right at Jake Tapper and said:
“I know stabbing Trump in the back brings a lot of people joy at CNN, but the fact is this is a grotesque piece of fiction.”
Stephen Miller knocked Jake Tapper unconscious and then ate his lunch.
Miller is a GODSEND.

That was a sentiment publicly echoed by the president.
Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration. Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!

Miller did not respond to a request for comment about the reports.
