Charlies Angeles has some competition – three women in Santa Monica saved another woman from getting date raped by her friend and people have dubbed them as heroines.

Sonia Ulrich shared the story of what happened when she and 2 of her friends, Monica Kenyon and Maria Saltzer, were having drinks at a restaurant.

While attempted rape by a friend sounds like the most shocking part of the story, according to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, 7 out of 10 rapes are committed by someone the victim knows.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged the perpetrator with administering a drug and assault with intent to commit a sex crime, along with a recommended bail of $1 million, thanks to these women.

People were amazed with their bold rescue
