My favorite holidays are Christmas, Halloween, and a Steam sale. The next Steam summer sale date has leaked early, as is the usual case of things, and our wallets will never be the same again.
The barrage of deals will begin on June 25, about a week-and-a-half after E3 festivities are done for. The sale will go on until July 9.
There will likely be a front page full of featured sales, but don’t forget to browse through the full list of games on your Steam client to catch up on games you may have forgotten about. Of course, if you’re like me, you have way too many dang games to get around to. Role-playing games, virtual reality “experiences,” indie stories—it’s all a bit too much. That’s not even accounting for Ubisoft’s latest ongoing shooter that will consume my PlayStation Network parties for a few months.
We don’t know yet what exactly Steam will list in its summer sale, but the platform is usually good about getting all the major releases some amount of discount. Our recent reviews might help you plan your wishlist.
Sekiro is a great action RPG from the Dark Souls team at From Software, and it will hurt your feelings over and over again. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a great adventure through the French horrors of the black plague, rats included. It just released, but it’s already only $45 on PC. Mortal Kombat 11 has some flaws, but none of them are fatalities to the incredibly violent saga.
